Trenton Pop Warner Firsts
Just wanted to let you know that for the 1st time in the history of the
program, all of our competitive teams will be competing in the playoffs!
Each team will be playing on Sunday in Millstone. I am very excited.
Our cheerleaders are competing in the Central Cheer Competition on Saturday
at the arena and the 2 competitive team have the opportunity to advance to
the next level of competition.
Words cannot express how thankful I am for the commitment you and Love Thy
Neighbor has shown towards this initiative. Even with all the "headaches"
our parents sometimes cause, seeing the kids perform at this level and
continuing to grow emotionally, socially, academically and personally, makes
it all worth it!

I would just like to thank Troy Vincent once again for doing the interview
with me for Pros Give Back last week. He was a joy to talk to and very
cooperative throughout the entire thing. I am just sending this email to
let you know that the story is now published on our website, if you would
like to take a look and show it to Troy.
Thank you once again for everything and I hope Troy and everyone at Love
Thy Neighbor enjoys it!
God bless,
Christian Marin
The Love Thy Neighbor Backpack Express!
TRENTON, N.J (August 31, 2011)
As summer draws to its end, many parents are preparing their child to return to school. Trenton natives, Troy and Tommi Vincent are preparing their three elementary age children for the new school year and over 300 local students.
Through the Love Thy Neighbor Community Development Corporation Seed, Feed, and Grow, program students were provided with backpacks stuffed with school supplies for the year. Supplies included pencil boxes, binders, glue sticks, folders, scissors, and the most essential elementary school staple- crayons!
Tommi Vincent was the lead driver of the Backpack Express-hand delivering each backpack load to their respective schools. " As a former Trenton Public School student, it was a great pleasure to provide the students, parents, and teachers with the supplies they need for the year. "
Love Thy Neighbor hopes to expand to serving more students in the 2012-2013 school year. If you would to join the effort, visit www.ltncdc.org or call (609) 989-0290

FEED THE CHILDREN AND TROY VINCENT TO HELP TRENTON FAMILIES THIS HOLIDAY SEASON
NFL VP to Host Distribution of Food and Essentials
TRENTON, N.J. (Dec. 16th, 2010) – Feed The Children and former NFL player Troy Vincent are teaming up to help families in need this holiday season. Feed The Children will bring one semi tractor-trailer full of food and essentials to Trenton on Wednesday, December 22nd. The distribution will begin at 11 a.m. in the parking lot of the Food Bazaar Grocery Store Shopping Center (635 S. Clinton Blvd.).
The distribution was made possible by a donation from Archer Daniels Midland Company.
Feed The Children partner agency, Love Thy Neighbor, will pre-identify the recipient families. Each family will be provided with a 25-pound box of food, a 10-pound box of essentials and a box of Avon products designed to help a family for a week.
The truck distribution is also the latest stop on Feed The Children’s Americans Feeding Americans Caravan, which has helped nearly 200,000 American and military families across the country in cities that have been affected by the nation’s economic downturn in 2010.
More than one in eight New Jersey children is considered impoverished. The number of children in New Jersey living in poverty could fill New Meadowlands Stadium three times. “We are so thankful to Troy Vincent and Archer Daniels Midland Company for providing the food and essentials to families,” said Tony Sellars, spokesperson for Feed The Children. "We hope people will continue to help us put more trucks on the road to provide assistance for fellow Americans who are suffering through the current economic downturn.”
